Ahhh, I hate to burst your bubble but Indians definitely do not eat bugs like in the movie. ☺ That film actually depicts Hinduism quite negatively — I belong to a community that worships Goddess Kali every year and it’s a thoroughly peaceful ceremony! Temple Of Doom is probably a good example of cultural appropriation — it just paints Hinduism as black as possible for dramatic effect. That film is banned in India, did you know? (Although I think that was uncalled for, just like the ban on Salman Rushdie’s novel ‘The Satanic Verses’.)
